Empowering Young Minds, One Story at a Time

At ChikuPiku Foundation, we believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to the magic of storytelling. For children coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, who are struggling to get access to good education, food and care, are the last ones to get exposure to co-curricular experiences. Losing out on such experiences affects their all-round development.

ChikuPiku Foundation aims to fill this gap and not let such experiences be the privilege of only a few.

We’re dedicated to providing underprivileged children in Maharashtra with opportunities to:

Explore a World of Imagination: We introduce children to a vast universe of stories, inspiring creativity and curiosity
Develop Essential Life Skills: We foster cognitive, emotional, and social skills through engaging storytelling and educational activities.
Build a Strong Literary Foundation: We lay the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning and reading.

By providing access to books, workshops, and other enriching experiences, we’re empowering children to reach their full potential.

What challenges are we tackling?

Scarcity of books in Marathi which are specially designed for kids to attract and engage young children.
Inability to reach children from the underprivileged communities and regions where foundational literacy is not achieved as expected.
Lack of bandwidth in introducing books to children in a fun and effective way.

A unique bookshelf that acts as a mini hanging library in the classroom designed to make books accessible to children and foster their love of reading.

Marathi Pustakalay

Specially curated collection of engaging books in simple everyday Marathi to introduce myriad subjects to young children.

Anubhav Khidki

Bringing child-centric immersive experiences in the form of plays and activities for underserved children.

What Is Our Aim?

Our Mission is to provide children from underprivileged Marathi communities with engaging child-centric content in their native language to open new windows of imagination and boost their literary journey.

Our aim is to reach at least 1 lakh children every year through stories, books, activities, performances and art projects and inspire, empower their teachers and trainers to continue this journey further.
